She has worked with hundreds of clients in developing sustainable and transformational change efforts to build thriving organizational communities.
Maria has worked with leaders around the world, including Mexico, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Kosovo, Colombia, China, Kenya, Lebanon, and Senegal. Maria is on the faculty at American University, is a TEDx speaker, and is published in Forbes, Ellevate, and TD Magazine. Maria hosts a podcast on critical DEI issues called Culture Stew. Maria is author of the book, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for Trainers: Fostering DEI in the Workplace (ATD Press, 2022) and co-author of ATD's Handbook for Training and Talent Development Handbook (ATD Press, 2022). Maria earned a dual Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Michigan in Organizational Studies and Spanish, and a Master’s Degree from American University in International Communication. She lives in Washington, DC with one husband, two daughters, and two cats, all of them rambunctious!
