Founder
As a public speaker, founder, and performer, my mission is exploring how our relationships with ourselves and others radically evolve when we change our stories and practices of power and leadership.
I am the founder and Chief Narrative Strategist of The New Quo, a leadership and DEI consultancy that creates transformational learning experiences that challenge the status quo on leadership and behavior change. I teach current and emerging leaders how to use their narrative intelligence to build a unique practice of leadership based on the values and lessons within their personal and cultural stories. With over 10 years of experience in corporate America and social impact, this approach uses storytelling techniques, story rituals, and neuroscience to help leaders set status-quo breaking goals and practice conscious communication habits that deepen trust, belonging, equity, and innovation in their relationships in and out of the workplace. I've developed this unique methodology of narrative intelligence to helps individuals overcome unconscious habits and stories to create a leadership practice based on self-insight, empathy, curiosity and inclusive communication skills.
I have trained 12,000 leaders across 9 industries, and I offer keynotes, live training, online courses, facilitated conversations and strategic consulting for leadership and DEI challenges. I have also applied my narrative intelligence methodology to a variety of equity problems, from social media content moderation, to creating equity goals and practices that infuse DEI into every area of their business, to helping companies create more inclusive language in their content and services. I’ve been featured in Forbes, Business Insider, Nasdaq, teenVouge, and The New York Times among other outlets. As an Utah native and NYC resident for 14 years I know far more uses for jello than I’d like to admit.
