D&I Advocate
I am Vanessa Michelangeli - originally from Venezuela but now residing in Seattle for the past 15 years. I have had the privilege of gaining over a decade of experience in the ever-evolving tech industry. One of my notable accomplishments was becoming the youngest Country Manager for Kaplan in LATAM, which is now part of The Washington Post. My journey started back in 2005 when I moved to the USA to pursue a Master's degree in Educational Psychology at the University of Virginia.
During my career, I had the opportunity to found a company called Via Dagnino, which I later successfully sold to a third party on Amazon. My exceptional skills caught the attention of Minecraft, and I joined their team as the publishing lead, collaborating with top publishers like Scholastic, Dark Horse, Del Rey, Egmont, and Penguin Random House.
Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to receive several accolades, including the Innovation Modern Finance award, The Impact Award, and the Diversity and Inclusion Recognition Award by Microsoft, all of which have encouraged me to keep pushing the boundaries of what I can achieve.
Beyond my passion for technology, I also have a deep interest in minimalism, photography, and storytelling. These hobbies and interests fuel my growth mindset and help me approach every challenge with a unique perspective and renewed vigor.
